The Cricklade Neighbourhood Plan is all about the use of land within the parish of Cricklade up to 2026. It is the way to take forward the land use related aspirations expressed in the recently completed Town Plan, within the constraints
imposed by national planning policies and Wiltshire’s Core Strategy. Are you interested in or do you have views on:

  • Where should any new housing within the existing built up area be located? What type or design should this be?
  • Should there be any new housing development outside the existing built up area? If so what and where?
  • How important are the existing open spaces in the town? Should some of them be built on?
  • Should employment areas be expanded? What new employment areas might be considered?
  • Are there any schemes that might reduce through traffic in Cricklade, particularly HGVs? Are any of them feasible in the plan period?
  • How might other developments such as the proposed extra care facility and the Cricklade Country Way impact on land use in the Parish?

There will be a display covering these and other issues relevant to the use of land in Cricklade in the Cricklade Town Hall on Saturday April 6th and Thursday April 11th. Note the dates now so that you can come to see what the plan might contain and most importantly influence how it is developed over the next few months.
